The Society of Mystics is a non-denominational religious organization dedicated to promoting the study of Mysticism in theory, philosophy and practice. The Society of Mystics was incorporated as a church/organization on March 15th 1994.
One of our goals as group is to bring unity by showing the common ground between the various faith paths. Whether you are a devout spiritual person or even an atheist. We share in the thought that Science and Mysticism can walk hand in hand towards a wonderful future.
But, what is the Society of Mystics? It is a group of people who have found the “song that sings in their hearts” and who want to blend that song with others in a grand choir. Each knows the path they walk is a hard one to follow, but they walk it joyfully.
We have a motto and it means a great deal to us. It is “Non nobis solum” and it is a Latin phrase that translates to “not for ourselves alone,” it essentially means that one should contribute to the greater good of humanity beyond their own personal interests; it’s a motto encouraging selfless action and community involvement. It is basically a call to use one’s abilities and talents to benefit the wider community, not just oneself.
As a group we provide a variety of support for one another, whether it is classes, or correspondence type courses for distance members of the society. In general, just being there.
